Madame Tussauds Hong Kong: Pia Wurtzbach as the First Filipino Wax Figure!
Crowned by Queen P! |
Pia Wurtzbach made history again, now as the first Filipino wax figure in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. And just before her replica is made available to greater public experience in Hong Kong, she made a grand launch in Manila at the #PiaMadeIconic Travel Festival last March 29, 2019 held at the SM Mega Fashion Hall.

I was one of those who lined up to see Pia and her wax figure up close and have selfies with them. Oh my... the likeness is uncanny that it gave me goosebumps! The hair, the makeup, the eyes, the features, the complexion -- everything! Even the iconic gown that Pia wore when she passed on the crown in 2016. Michael Cinco recreated it complete with Swarovski embellishments.
for reference, I am 5'3" in height and not wearing heels in this photo |
It was a great choice for Pia's wax figure pose as it encourages interaction with museum goers making them feel crowned by Queen P herself. So make sure to give that "confidently beautiful with a heart" pose when you get to have a photo with her in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Trivia! This is the first time that a wax figure is brought to its home country before transferring to its permanent location in Hong Kong. This event is really a history after history. With a lot of Filipinos in/visiting Hong Kong, for sure they will be delighted to have Pia represent our country again.

This event was made possible by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Klook, and Cathay Pacific. Exclusive packages were made available during the event such as a bundle that includes Cathay Pacific ticket to Hong Kong and a Madame Tussauds Hong Kong pass -- redeemable through the Klook application.
