NESTOKID FOUR: Tips and Activities on Having a GROW HAPPY Kid!
NESTOKID Grow Happy Nation |
We all desire having happy kiddos that's why as parents, we strive to create a wonderful environment for our children may it be providing their wants or needs, having good relationship within families, and ensuring proper nutrition to keep them healthy.
Musika (Music) station |
NESTOKID FOUR believes that for a child to be happy, he/she should also be healthy! It could even start by providing the right nutrition, for instance, through milk. NESTOKID FOUR is the only growing up milk brand that contains L. Comfortis -- a probiotic that helps strengthen tummies to provide better digestion and absorption of nutrients. It also has Protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Calcium, Iron, and DHA essential for overall growth and development. But note that this is not a breastmilk substitute. Breastmilk is still the best milk we can provide our children. I can attest to this as I breastfed my son until he was three years old.
Likha (Art), Laro (Play), and Nutrisyon (Nutrition) stations |
Of course, aside from milk, there are a lot of ways to support the needs of a growing child. And this is what the GROW HAPPY campaign is all about. Mark your calendars and join the activities:
- JULY 14-15 : Robinsons Place Manila Atrium
- JULY 21-22 : SM City Dasmarinas Cavite Activity Center
Open to kids 3 to 7 years old!

There are four major stations that kids can take part in:
- Laro (Play)
- Likha (Art)
- Musika (Music)
- Nutrisyon (Nutrition)
play the veggie piano |
Laro station includes a video game that tests a kid's hand and eye coordination, and a more physical game of ring toss. Musika station has two activities: an interactive piano that uses fruits and vegetables as keys, and a musical chair game that they can play with other kids.
feel free to color | be creative with Crayola |
In Likha station, kids were given a set a crayons from Crayola and a sheet to color. There's also an interactive box that lightens up a bulb depending on the Crayola crayon entered.
learning healthy food, vitamins, and nutrients |
Lastly is the Nutrisyon station. Here, kids were taught about healthy food and the nutrients they can get from those food, through story telling.

tips on nurturing a happier kid |
Aside from the activities a child can enjoy through play, music, art, and nutrition, we, as parents or guardians, have major roles in contributing to the overall happy well-being of our children. How we respond, how we react are very important especially while they are young. I learned a lot from Rizason G. T. Ng of Ateneo Bulatao Center and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco as she shared personal experiences.

Interacting with our child and giving encouragements are already pretty common for us to do. But during the event, I've learned some more tips that are simple yet may or may not be commonly practised, yet would contribute in honing a happy growing child.
- Listen to your child. Easier said than done. Even I am guilty of this. When your child says "My classmate is so bad! I want him out of our class", our initial reaction is "Don't say that! That's not good!". That makes the child feel bad about himself wherein a better approach is to check why he is saying that, and where he is coming from. That is what deep listening really means. And from there, you mirror to the child what he could have done
- Be present. Being present takes more than the physical aspect. Being present is when after your child arrives from school, you put down whatever you're doing, no cellphone, just you and your child, and you check how his day went. Listening, interacting, giving your full attention. In that way, you make him feel that you are with him, you are listening, and that he is important
- Keep your child involved. While your child is young, it is a good practice to involve him in decision making within the family. It makes him feel that his voice is important and that he is a relevant member of the family. Another good way to keep your child involved is through family rituals. Rituals are activities that you repeatedly do as a family. One of our family rituals is dining out whenever it's the birthday of a family member. It is something we look forward to and prioritize, at the same time, doing it as a family provides a sense of belonging and identity
Thank you so much for the tips! | with Melai and Mela Francisco |
There you go, Moms and Dads! Always enrich your child with delightful atmosphere, fun activities, and of course, right nutrition. Let's all come together and support our children to GROW HAPPY!
Stay Happy!! |
