When a friend, who isn't a blogger, influencer, or in anyway connected to the brand, tells you she has found the most delicious milk tea among all the milk teas she has tasted in her life, wouldn't you be curious and try it for yourself?

Betterdays is a new cafe in Eton Centris, Quezon City that opened in January 2018. The name itself posts optimism as it aims to gather coffee enthusiasts and tea lovers over drinks that provide good vibes.

Two words came to my mind upon stepping in this cafe: morning and sunshine. The bright hues of yellow and white are sure to uplift your mood. While dining here, regardless of the time of the day, always feels like morning -- a start of a new day.

The cafe can accommodate around 25-30 people including outside seating. And although they are just a block away from a famous coffee shop, there is really no direct competition as what Betterdays offer are more of specially crafted milk teas, though their coffees and frappes are notable as well.

If there is an espresso machine for coffees, Betterdays teas make use of teapresso. It is how their tea leaves are pressed and brewed to ensure a fresh cup of distinct tea goodness for every order. In terms of coffee, they make use of single origin Arabica beans from Uganda and Peru.

Hokkaido Milk Teapresso is what my friend dubbed as the best milk tea so I made sure I had it in my list first. Since this is my first time to try Betterdays products, by default, I had it at 100% sugar level and pearls for its free sinker. All tea drinks, except for the Cheese Cloud selections, comes with free sinker.

The first sip was a bold taste of toffee and caramel! It was so noticeable yet I didn't find it overwhelmingly sweet. The fresh tea taste blended well and went smoothly with the drink. Indeed, it is one of the best, if not the best, milk teas I've tried so far. Though next time, I'll have it at 75% or 50% sugar for a more subtle taste. Another friend had it at 0% sugar yet still find it good!

Wonderful Yogurt Green Teapresso, although doesn't make use of fruit, is under the Fruit Teapresso category. All Fruit Teapresso uses green tea as the base. I love the names of the products here as they incorporate positivity such as Positive Peach, Grateful Grapefruit, Cheery Cranberry, Amazing Orange, and Bubbly Red Grapes. I had coconut jelly (nata) as its free sinker which really went well with the yogurt taste. This drink is definitely refreshing and zesty!

My eyes twinkled upon seeing this in the menu -- Cheese Cloud Teapresso. There were only three options: Black Tea, Earl Grey Tea, and Jasmine Green Tea. We went for Jasmine Green Tea Cheese Cloud as it was recommended. Sinkers are not included for this category.

The cheese cloud alone is so good! It is a mix of salty, milky, creamy, and cheesy! Its rich taste might be the reason why it is only paired with base teas. Jasmine Green Tea has a strong flowery taste and aroma that somehow contradicts with the cheese cloud. I'd be interested in trying the other tea bases and see which will blend best with the already yummy foamy topping.

Betterdays offer a selection of Fresh Milk Espresso served hot or cold. But what I got more interested in are their Espresso Frappes such as this Salted Caramel Popcorn Bliss. The coffee, no doubt, has a strong kick that is addicting. The salted caramel popcorn taste is in the syrup, and really, when you taste it, you wouldn't say it is just plain salted caramel -- it is Salted Caramel Popcorn! Though as what we have suggested, it would be best to have actual popcorn on it, maybe just 2 or 3 pieces. Because when I saw the name, I was expecting real popcorns on it and not just have the taste in syrup form.

GERD-mates, here's the non-caffeinated drink for us -- Fruity Milk Smoothies. The flavor selections are the same as the Fruit Teapresso options, except of course, tea is excluded from the ingredients. I had the Cheery Cranberry Smoothie which has a tangy and refreshing take on a smoothie.

Currently, there are only four cake selections at Betterdays: Ube Matcha Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Cake. Mini cakes ranges from Php180-205, while their whole versions are from Php980-1,190. Looking forward to have more pastry and cake selections to pair with their various great drinks!

Ube Matcha Cheesecake captured my attention because [1] I love matcha, [2] I prefer cheesecake over other types of cakes, and [3] ube and matcha combination is interesting. If you're a matcha lover like me and looking for that distinct and obvious matcha taste, this isn't the cake for you. The matcha flavor is so subtle, the ube taste in the frosting is a bit toned down too, but I like the cheesecake texture and firmness. These cakes are meant for pairing and so the muted flavors are suited to bring out the coffee and tea flavors more.

Overall, I'd say Betterdays is a great hangout place for quality tea and coffee drinks and delightful atmosphere. All drinks are competitively priced to think tea drinks already include sinkers (except for the cheese cloud selections). There are fresh milk selections for milk teas for that healthier option. You can also find unique and interesting flavors for the Fruit Teapresso/Fruity Milk Smoothies and Espresso Frappes. Aside from more pastries, hopefully they can add hot tea options as well. Internet wi-fi connection would also be a good addition. Oh, and yeah, branch out so we don't have to go all the way to Eton Centris for our daily cup of sunshine!
