Brotzeit: Jagermeister Christmas Menu 2017!
Brotzeit Shangri-La at The Fort |
Only a few weeks to go... can you smell the scent of Christmas? Or better yet, have a taste of German Christmas here at Brotzeit, home of the best Bavarian dishes and German beers!
a place for fresh and cold German beers | masculine chic ambiance |
Brotzeit Shangri-La at The Fort holds the same vibe as the other branches (see EDSA Shangri-La Plaza branch here): masculine chic, modern and neat, dim yet spacious. It's a cozy and peaceful place to have fresh ice-cold beer alone or with friends, or enjoy a sumptuous meal with family. For this upcoming Holiday Season, Brotzeit came up with exciting and Jagermeister-spirited dishes from appetizer to dessert!
Thunsalat (395Php)
Seared tuna with mixed lettuce, zucchini, orange, olives, sun dried tomatoes, and quinoa with Jagermeister dressing
Thunsalat |
The mix of vibrant colors in this Thunsalat is already appetizing to the eyes. The seared tuna alone is fresh and flavorful that my son loves it! Oranges, dried tomatoes, and olives give the zest complemented by the distinct flavor of Jagermeister dressing.
Thunsalat | Flammkuchen |
Flammkuchen (375Php)
Flatbread topped with Black Forest Ham, Parmesan, arugula, and Jagermeister glaze
Flammkuchen |
Flammkuchen, or German Pizza, is thin yet crisp, and loaded with wide slices of ham, cheese, and arugula. The herbs and spices in the Jagermeister glaze give this dish an exquisite taste.
Jagermeister Glazed Flank Steak (1,050Php)
Grilled flank steak glazed with Jagermeister served with toasted napkin dumpling and roasted vegetables
Jagermeister Glazed Flank Steak |
Oooh-lala on this Jagermeister Glazed Flank Steak! Thick slices yet tender and juicy, it would truly unleash the carnivore side of you and your love for meat!
Jagermeister Glazed Flank Steak | Lammkotelette |
Lammkotelette (790Php)
Grilled lamb chops glazed with Jagermeister with rosemary mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini
Lammkotelette |
If it is lamb that you long for, this Lammkotelette would be perfect for you. Rosemary, cranberries, and Jagermeister ultimately complemented the distinct lamb taste.
Ripperl Krampus Art (790Php)
Braised pork ribs with Jagermeister BBQ sauce served with roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables
Ripperl Krampus Art |
One of my favorite dishes, partly because I'm biased with ribs, is this Ripperl Krampus Art. It's tender ribs with sophisticated flavor. That kind that you don't have to overdo the barbecue sauce just to make it good. I love that the glaze is just right, with enough sweetness and a bit of spice.
Ripperl Krampus Art |
Jagermeister Brownie a la mode (250Php)
Moist brownie infused with Jagermeister, walnuts and served with a scoop of ice cream
Jagermeister Brownie a la mode |
Jagermeister Brownie a la mode is filled with contradicting, or should I say complementing, texture, temperature, and taste -- you'd go crazy with its goodness! The obvious one is the cold vanilla ice cream on top of warm brownie. The brownie itself has soft pillow-y upper layer, followed by firm yet moist layer with walnut slices. The overall taste gives a sweet greeting to the palate yet leaves with a bitter-y aftertaste, you''ll be tempted to go for another spoonful!
Gluhwein (190Php)
Mulled red wine with fruits and Christmas spices
Gluhwein |
I know I haven't been drinking anything alcoholic for quite some time, plus this GERD (acid reflux) is preventing me to do so. But when I saw this Gluhwein, it doesn't look anything near the wine I used to know. First, it's warm that I can associate it with tea. I was so curious so I stirred the cinnamon stick in it, and had a sip.. just a sip. Ooohhh... it's so good! A sip would make you feel Christmas in an instant! It has a sweet, fruity, and citrusy taste that you'd almost not recognize the bitter-y wine flavor. I actually had more than one sip 'cause it was really good. But I had to stop myself else I'd suffer later on.
So friends, if you want to experience Christmas in a German way, checkout the Jagermeister Christmas Menu from Brotzeit. Everything is worth-trying and would be enjoyed by your family and friends. It is the distinct flavor, the herbs and spices, in Jagermeister that give each dish an oomph to the usual dishes.
