Bellefleur by Beatrix |
If you often go to Greenhills, here's a great discovery -- Bellefleur by Beatrix!
located at Unimart Greenhills | haven of yummy treats |
Located at the ground floor of Unimart Greenhills Shopping Center (outside unit), this small and humble store is a haven of yummy treats and refreshing drinks! Since it is just a small store, it is not meant for dine-in customers. Though for those who can't resist, they have a table for 2-3 diners.
Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Red Velvet |
Let's start with something savory.
Longganisa Buns (single - 60Php, box of 6 - 330Php)
Hong Kong-style buns filled with tasty and lean home-made longganisa
Longganisa Buns |
For just Php 60, you get this delicious and fulfilling Longganisa Bun perfect as snack or breakfast on-the-go. The homemade longganisa filling makes use of lean meat and has the right amount of sweetness and black pepper spice. It never fell short of quantity and flavor that you'll think it's longganisa covered with bun, rather than a bun with longganisa filling. But even the bun is soft and good that it really goes well with longganisa. Have it warm and this will definitely brighten up your day!
Cupcakes (per piece - 70Php, box of 6 - 380Php)
assorted cupcake flavors |
Red Velvet (per piece - 70Php, box of 6 - 380Php)
Red Velvet |
I only get to try the Red Velvet Cupcake. For the base, I really like that it's moist and soft. But for the frosting, I find it a bit sweet for my taste buds. Nevertheless, my son loves it when I brought it home for him.

Here are the other cupcake flavors, Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel, just for reference since I haven't tried them yet. They both look so delicious! I'm guessing one is bittery, the other is with salty hints.
Dark Chocolate with Sprinkles | Salted Caramel |
Double Decker Ube Leche Flan (slice - 100Php, whole - 500Php)
Alternating layers for fluffy ube chiffon and creamy leche flan
Double Decker Ube Leche Flan |
Double Decker Ube Leche Flan is one of the must-have's when you visit Bellefleur by Beatrix. I've tried ube leche flan cakes before, but so far, this is the best! The leche flan alone is smooth, creamy, and the melt-in-your-mouth type. It is well-complemented by the ube chiffon cake both in taste and texture. A perfect combination, a good proportion of leche flan and ube cake, doubled to make it even better!
Frozen Ube Brazo (slice - 200Php, 10" round whole - 1,200Php)
Frozen Brazo de Mercedes layered with ube ice cream and a Graham cracker crust
Frozen Ube Brazo |
I have a confession to make... I am not a fan of brazo de mercedes. I don't like the texture of the meringue and its combination with custard. But this, this Frozen Ube Brazo, gave me a different perspective. Each layer from the crust up to the meringue has different yummy feature. Bellefleur by Beatrix might have calculated the proportion of each layer so well that when combined, the result is a heavenly delicious masterpiece. Maybe because it's frozen that I don't find it too sweet, but I know that I enjoyed every layer of it... especially the ube ice cream part!
Here at Bellefleur by Beatrix, you can also find wonderful beverages made by Thirsty Turtle. I get to sample 3 of them.
Beetroot Pineapple Banana (S - 145Php, B - 150Php)
Beetroot Pineapple Banana |
I'm not sure what beetroot is or if I have tasted it before. But one thing is for sure, it's the red part in this drink that made it look so awesome! On a serious note, I made a quick research about beetroot and found that it has a lot of health benefits, even considered a super food. Add to that the nutrition from pineapple and banana, you'll be surprised how good this all-fresh-and-natural drink is!
Spinach Celery Banana (S - 115Php, B - 120Php)
Spinach Celery Banana |
Spinach? Celery? For a non-veggie lover like me, that would definitely be an "eww!". But Thirsty Turtle has done its magic and wella, it becomes a yummy smoothie that I can enjoy. You can still taste the spinach and the distinct flavor of celery but they harmoniously blended with banana and coco cream. Now I found a fun way to eat, err, drink my veggies!
Mango Banana (S - 115Php, B - 120Php)
Mango Banana |
Mango Banana is a common fruit combination that actually tastes good with coco cream. There's mango's sweet tangy taste and banana's distinct texture. It doesn't feel too sweet, rather, it tastes so fresh and natural!
It was a worthwhile visit at Bellefleur by Beatrix. I so love their Longganisa Bun that I won't complain having it as my everyday snack. I would definitely recommend their Double Decker Ube Leche Flan and Frozen Ube Brazo if you're looking for not-so-ordinary cakes that taste divine! Thirsty Turtle, on the other hand, proved that [1] there are fun and delicious ways to in-take your fruits and vegetables, [2] an all natural and fresh smoothie can be yummy without putting syrup or too much sugar, and [3] great smoothies need not come from famous brands, nor be too expensive.
