The Third Eye Wellness is a center that focuses on mind, body, and energy well-being. What we take in our body is very important to achieve a healthy overall state. That's why right in the heart of this wellness center is the Chakra Cafe.

The place is simple yet vibrant with an overlooking view of BGC, Taguig. The colors are also reflective of the 7 chakras, which you can find more about in their menu. The best thing about this cafe is that they embody the "you are what you eat" mantra that you can find a wide selection of healthy and nutritious food and drinks. There are organic options, healthy snacks, vegetarian, vegan, fresh juices and smoothies. If you look closely at their menu, each food item has symbols of what specific energy center, also known as "chakra", will benefit to keep your energy system balanced.

Being the appetizer, Nachos is the first dish I've tasted and I instantly fell in love with it! Although there are various toppings, it felt that they were all in harmony. No strong flavors, felt light yet truly yummy! Definitely recommended when you dine here.

It is the first time I've tried curry in a salad and didn't expect it will be this good. Curried Chicken Salad is so refreshing to eat while the apple crunch added that zest.

If there's one dish that I didn't like the most, it would be this Truffled Mushroom Soup. The soup has a bit thick consistency, and the truffle taste is very evident, even overwhelming for me.

True to its name, Healthy Mac N' Cheese will make you feel healthy while eating it. I love the firmness of the macaroni, and how the flavors are so light yet not boring.

I love their paninis! This Truffle Shroom Panini has mix of flavors: truffle, cheese, and pesto (though I didn't see pesto or basil in the ingredients), but overall good!

But over Truffle Shroom Panini, I'd choose this Nacho Grilled Cheese Panini. It's not your plain gooey cheesy sandwich as every bite has explosion of flavors. Remember the Nachos above that I love? This panini also has that evident Mexican element which makes it overall good and interesting.

Another reason to visit Chakra Cafe is their line of detox juices and power smoothies -- Elixir Juice Alchemy. I've tasted two of their detox juices, Potion No. 4 and No. 5, and for someone like me who isn't fond of vegetables, I must say that the taste is very unfamiliar yet natural. I know I wouldn't be able to finish a bottle as it would take getting used to. But know that they are highly nutritious and made fresh daily through cold-pressing organic fruits and vegetables.

I enjoyed almost everything that were served to us and to think that these are all healthier versions of the usual food. It makes me realize that it is possible to eat nutritious and delicious food at the same time. Not only you get to eat guilt-free, healthy eating would provide short and long term benefits in your body that would keep you energetic and emotionally balanced.
