Kim Chee Korean Cuisine: Gal Bi Jim, Kimbap, and more!
Kim Chee Korean Cuisine |
As most of the restaurants we visited during the Hunger Games Day 2 : Marikina (arranged by Zomato, ABS-CBN, and Choose Philippines) served Filipino food, it was a delight having Kim Chee Korean Cuisine in the list.

Gal Bi Jim (280Php)
Ribs stew
Gal Bi Jim |
Gal Bi Jim has this really tender meat along with a savory sweet sauce. This is a good dish if you don't opt for something grilled.
Gal Bi Jim | Tofu KimChi |
Tofu Kimchi (350Php)
Tofu KimChi |
I don't eat kimchi or anything too spicy but I know I have to try this Tofu KimChi. The proper way to eat this is to get lettuce, put kimchi, tofu, and other sides, wrap, then eat in one bite! Spiciness level is almost to my limit but tolerable. The tofu helped in reducing the spiciness even just a bit. The kimchi has some pork though I didn't notice it much.
Kimbap (125Php)
Rice rolls
Kimbap |
Kimbap is a good starter or filler. For the price, you get 10 mouthful pieces.
Korean Ice Cream
Korean Ice Cream |
Everyone got giddy and delighted over these Korean Ice Cream. Who would not? I love Korean Ice Cream!

The dishes below are some of those served but, unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try. I was even looking forward to Korean barbecue. But oh well, maybe next time.
Chadolbaki (Php 300) | Seng Dung Sim (Php 450) |
L.A. Galbi (Php 400) | Se Wu Ti Gim (Php 350) |
Even though I only get to try a few dishes, I still had a great time in Kim Chee Korean Cuisine with its accommodating staff. I wish to try more of their dishes in the future or in my next visit in Marikina. It is here where you can find a piece of Korea.
