BUFFET: Primero Casa Filipino -- The Return!
Primero Casa Filipino |
It was early last year when I first experienced dining at Primero Casa Filipino. After almost a year, I get to visit again this affordable homey buffet place at Scout Torillo, Quezon City.
It was great to see the old favorites such as the Caprichon, Roasted Angus Beef, and Chili Crabs. Yet it was also enticing to find new dishes.
Some starters to "warm up" my stomach for a definite heavy eating! They are light, bite-size, and of varied flavors to tickle the appetite. My favorite on the list would be the Bruschetta.

Going to the main course, oh my, it was really hard to choose one dish as my favorite. The Caprichon still has that yummy crispy texture that made me fall in love with it the first time I tried it. The Roasted Angus Beef never failed to have that tender tasty meat that made me eat beef even though I ain't really a fan of it. And why was it I was the only one in the group who tried Chili Crabs? You don't know what you're missing! It's worth the messy fingers! Buttered Shrimp was also really goooood as if the flavor has been absorbed completely by the prawns.
New dishes I've tried this time that I really enjoyed would be the Spicy Beef Ribs Calderetta, the Oxtripe Kare-kare, and the Baked Chicken Annatto Espresso.

Before proceeding any further, I'd like to share this very healthy and refreshing drink from Primero Casa Filipino -- Malungay Shake. For only 78Php, every drop is worth it. It was a scary attempt at first as I do not eat malunggay, and to have it blended into a shake could have make things worse. But no, a big NO as this drink, aside from being guilt-free and all natural, tastes really good! I wasn't able to trace any signs of vegetable or malunggay for this case.

A quick view on the dessert will give you Banana Cake, Pandan Cake, Assorted Fruits, and the all-time favorite by most of the customers -- the Palitaw with Latik. They also have soft serve ice cream but I forgot to take pictures (too excited to eat it!).
