The heart of
Venice Piazza was filled with crowd as
Mercato Centrale launched last December 12, 2013 its newest food market in
McKinley Hill, Taguig --
Carnivale! I am one of those excited foodies as my workplace is just right in front of Venice Piazza.

The grand launch was celebrated with circus acts, drumbeats, and acoustic bands. I was also able to witness the ribbon cutting held by
Mercato Centrale and
Megaworld representatives.

I started my food scouting, and oh-my, it's overwhelming! From my favorite
Baby Back Ribs,
Roast Beef,
Pasta,
Pizza,
Sushi,
Shawarma, to
street foods and
desserts, this is definitely my very convenient go-to place when craving strikes. I wish they would operate everyday, but nonetheless, I am now setting my
Thursdays and
Fridays as my "Craving Days"!

Now we don't have to go to BGC Mercato after work for food trips. Just across the road and voila,
great selections at affordable prices. Below are the dishes I get to try as samplers during the launch.

Many may have not known that Mercato's night food markets do not only provide a good venue for food lovers but also give great opportunities to starting merchants and entrepreneurs. Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Merry Moo Premium Ice Cream, and Spring by Ha-Yuan are just some of the food businesses that have grown and now have their own places and stalls in malls.
