Sushi craving made me wander around Glorietta area. I was looking for a different kind, not the usual California Maki. Tried my luck at Cucina Andare, which is the first food truck market in the Philippines. Allen and I used to go to Mercato Centrale for food trips, but glad that we now have a more accessible alternative, though there are less merchants due to the limited space. Going back to my sushi search, while checking out some food stalls, I found a chinky-eyed man making sushi right then and there, with all the ingredients on the table within his reach. I enjoyed watching how he prepares sushi that the next thing I know, I was already ordering a Rainbow Roll at Food Truck by Chef Broosy!

I initially wondered what a Rainbow Roll is, but after seeing the finished product, indeed, it's a Rainbow Roll! It may not have the 7 colors of rainbow but it looked very interesting.

Rolled inside were kani, avocado, and cucumber, ingredients similar to California Maki. What makes it a Rainbow Roll is its supposedly 6 types of sashimi and avocado wrapped around it. For this version, there were only 2 sashimi: tuna and salmon, which were alternately placed together with avocado. Size was relatively larger that a piece filled my mouth entirely.

For its price, I find it a good buy. My sushi craving was pacified with California Maki plus Sashimi rolled into one. Serving size was also enough to have it as my dinner. I enjoyed every piece with wasabi and sauce. I'm definitely going to have this again!
