Bioessence: Aroma Facial

Bioessence is one of the sponsors in the recently concluded Foodgasm: Take a Second Bite. A Premium Pass was given during the event which entitles the holder for a free Aroma Facial or Foot Reflexology. I opted for the Aroma Facial as it has been months since my last facial treatment. As the validity was only until March 2013, I scheduled for an appointment the following weekend.

There were no issues in the reservation or in looking for available slots. I was even 30mins late for my appointment but when I got there, they still entertained me and even offered drinks. The place has a combined spa and clinic ambiance. It looked professional yet relaxing. They have a soft comfy couch for waiting customers. The place is also well air-conditioned. The attendants are in Bioessence shirt uniform and are wearing face masks.

*The Treatment*

Cleansing - Face damped with wet sponge, cleansing lotion was applied, massaged, and rinsed off
Steam - My face was set on steam at tolerable level for around 15-20mins
Mild Pricking - So the reason why facial steaming took some time was because pricking is to follow. It was just mild pricking though, concentrating on blackheads. It wasn't that painful and it's good to have after several months
Facial Massage - When I asked why it was called Aroma Facial, the attendant said it was because of the facial massage included. The massage was relaxing and somehow freed me from stress
Moisturizer - As a finally, moisturizer was applied to my face

The treatment took around 40-50mins. It was relaxing and at the same time, I had facial cleansing. The best part is I had it for free. With that, thank you Foodgasm and Bioessence! :)
