My Camera has Resurrected : Canon Powershot A720 IS
*image from Canon USA
This is what my Canon Powershot A720 IS looks like when I bought it nearly 4 years ago. When I was in college, I dreamed of having a camera to capture moments, to show my "perspective", to express. And so just a few months after I got a job, this is where I first spent my salary.
During that time, this is the best that I could find that best fit my needs. It has the typical point-and-shoot features such as the different scenes/modes, white balance, etc. But what I really like about this is its Manual mode where I can set the shutter speed, apperture, and even the focus. Now that's semi-pro!
Being the first thing where I spent my money (15,000Php; SRP at that time was 21,000Php), my first camera, and that I really like its features, it was really disheartening when one day, I cannot use it anymore. Not because it is no longer functioning, but it was because of the broken battery enclosure lock. After failed workarounds, finally, I was able to repair it with my existing resources (thanks to my ECE tools!) just not sure until when it would last. ;b But one thing I know is that... I can use it again! Yey! :)
The box... almost 4 years ago...
The box contains the PowerShot A720 IS camera, a wrist strap, Digital Camera Solution CD, 2 AA Alkaline batteries, USB interface cable, and AV cable. But not sure if it was a promo during the time I bought as I was given a 1GB Memory card and a soft compact case.
Below is its specification.
