Yellow Cab: New York Famous XL Pizza Slices, Plus NEW Products and Flavors!

When you're going solo and you crave for pizza yet a box is too much and too expensive for one. When you have limited time and want a quick pizza break yet making your pizza consumes all your break time. When you're in a group yet you want to go for a pizza flavor that is different from what the group has decided. There's a reason why New Yorkers had it by the slice, and I meant a huge slice!

Yellow Cab is now offering pizza by the slice starting July 15, 2019 in selected Metro Manila branches. A New York Famous XL Pizza Slice starts at Php109 and comes in four (4) flavors:
- Margherita (Php109)
- Cheese (Php109)
- Hawaiian (Php129)
- Pepperoni (Php129)
You can make it a combo
- with Soda (add Php40)
- with Yellow Cab's NEW House Blend Iced Tea (add Php45)
- with Soda and 3 pcs Thigh Fillet Bites (add Php139)

The New York Famous XL Pizza Slice is a cut from an 18" pizza. It is baked beforehand and readily available on the display. But they'll serve it hot upon ordering.
The Cheese flavor is for those who want their pizza simple -- just a gooey cheese on top of thin crust. The good side, you don't have to wait long to have your pizza fix, and it's a huge slice that will surely fulfill you. The downside, I guess the reheating process (plus taking photos before eating it HAHA) made the pizza tough and relatively dry than how a usual Yellow Cab pizza is.

If you want a meaty option, Pepperoni is what you need. Just look at how a slice is filled with thin pepperoni slices. Compared to the Cheese pizza slice I had, this one has a nice crunchy crust, but still not the signature moist and "sinful" Yellow Cab Pizza that I know.
On a regular day, I would still prefer the freshly-baked Yellow Cab Pizza. But for some situations stated on my intro, these pizza slices are good option. I think these can still be improved in terms of texture, and hopefully more flavors soon!

New sides alert! Starting July 01, 2019, Yellow Cab is now offering Mac & Cheese and Baked Mac at Php99 each but for dine-in only.
Since I was feeling "cheesy", I opted to try the Mac & Cheese and was not disappointed with its evident cheese that complements with the bacon bits. Yes, there are bacon bits!! Pricing-wise, I think it's a bit expensive for a side though the serving size lies between your typical side and a decent serving for one. Flavor-wise, I love it and would definitely have it again! It made me curious on how the Baked Mac version would compare to this. Would try that out soon!

Having chicken on the menu is not new for Yellow Cab. They've got wings and drumsticks, but these Thigh Fillet Bites are the simple, no fuss, just-pop-in-your-mouth type of chicken. Love their own gravy too.
But if you still go for the flavored wings, good news as there are three (3) new flavors: Sweet Soy, Lemon Pepper, and Smoked Chipotle.
