Marks&Spencer: Ice Cream Tasting Experience!

M&S Ice Cream Tasting Event

If you have seen my previous post, or if you have seen tweets with the hashtag #FreeIceCream, then you probably knew about the Ice Cream launch that happened today, July 26 at Greenbelt 5. I am happy to be part of it and before I share my experience, let me present to you, first, the M&S Ice Cream flavor selections. (I was informed that they have been selling them for two weeks now, but today is their launch.)

Out of these 17 ice cream selections, I was able to taste 6 of them and I'll be presenting them from my least favorite to my top pick! (But note that this is subjective to my palate.)

Rum & Raisin Dairy Ice Cream (1L tub - 475Php)

There are raisins and definitely, there's rum. I am not a fan of anything alcoholic, especially if you can taste or smell it, which this ice cream possesses. But I know some people would find this interesting as it was a good blend for rum and raisin.

Triple Chocolate Decadent Ice Cream (900mL tub - 350Php)

This is very chocolatey, but not the creamy-milky type, and it's a mix of bitter-sweet flavor. Chocolate lovers would absolutely have this on top of their list. It's all about chocolate: dark, white, sauce/syrup.

Mint Chocolate Dairy Ice Cream (1L tub - 475Php)

Mint, indeed, which gives your mouth a refreshing feeling. The flakes of Belgian chocolate just give enough balance of sweetness to the already minty taste.

Blueberry Cheesecake Bliss (500mL tub - 475Php)

I love cheesecake, but not the blueberry one. But this ice cream is an exception. The taste is literally blueberry cheesecake turned into ice cream! You would even feel the chunks of cheese while eating it.

Strawberry Cheesecake Indulgent Ice Cream (900mL tub - 350Php)

Another cheesecake-flavored ice cream. Though I didn't really find the resemblance of its flavor with a strawberry cheesecake, I enjoyed its taste on its own. The sourness of strawberry bits were complemented by the creamy dairy base. Think of strawberry milk shake.

Caramel Pecan Crunch (500mL tub - 475Php)

For me, the combination of caramel and pecan tops them all. Some may find it sweet due to the caramel and brown sugar but there's something about the pecan praline that makes it addicting. The pecan pieces also add crunchy texture over the smooth ice cream.

It was really nice to have a taste of these lovely flavorful ice cream! Looking forward to grabbing a tub from Marks & Spencer branches at Shangri-La, Greenbelt 5, and Glorietta 4.
